Pulleys

A pulley has two parts: the grooved wheels and rope. There are two types of pulleys: the fixed pulley and the moveable pulley. The fixed pulley has the grooved wheel that is fixed to a point above the load. The moveable pulley has one end of a rope mounted above the load, and the pulley rests on the rope kind of like a zip line. there are also pulley systems that have multiple combinations of the two. The advantages of a pulley system is that the more supporting ropes you have, the easier it is to move something. The disadvantages are that the more supporting ropes you have, the farther you have to pull.
