The Screw

A screw is an inclined plane wrapped around a cylinder. The grooves on the screw makes things able to move. The screw changes the direction of effort, and the closer together the grooves are, the longer distance the object can go with more weight. But if the grooves are really far apart from each other, it actually makes it harder. Some examples of a screw are a jar, airplane propellers, and the blades of a fan.
